What about how everyone's going after their own happiness and positivity (yang), leaving a trail of unhappiness and negativity behind for others to deal with. This yin and yang thing is very true and powerful.

it is not about what can be identify as yin/yang, its about balance ,about how seemingly opposite or contrary forces may actually be complementary.
and Taoism is more like philosophical tradition than religion, u don't need to believe in some kind of god

Hmmm, sorry, the top of males is yang, the bottom of females is yang. The bottom of males is yin, the top of females is yin. Our '"Center of 'gravity' ' is our yang when it comes to our physical bodies.

This is i believe a bit wrongly represented. An empty cup doesn't relate to a cup as an object but to a cup being full. Hot coffee relates to cold coffee. Just like empty space relates to solid matter, no space without matter and no matter without space. No life without death, sound without silence, etc...

Yang is a possitive while yin is a negative. Most general is used by temperature and colours. Yin and yang does not have to be balanced, is just that both will be present no matter the ratio. However ying and yang is a dao know as the base of the universe(u can relate them as electrons and protons? or matter and anti-matter? or physical and spiritual?) Howeber dao is different, Walking is dao, breathing is dao, in all it depends on the 'grade' of the dao which depends on how can affect the universe example: a candle light up a 5 meter radius or a black hole would devour stars and planet' it is the cause and the way it works is a dao.
So choose your dao, be like a lake calm and gentle but sensitive to the slightss ripple? or raging fire filled with passion and adventrous. Or make your own dao the only differenc is whether it make a sginificant to your life.
This is not even scratching the surface most profound knowledges are lost with time.
I am not saying that the explaination is false coz it is more centered from the biew point ofbyin and yang. -
just one thing: in chinese medicine, for the body: the back is Yang and the front is Yin
