Sometimes I've seen the RSI by itself make successful signals, especially in circumstances where the RSI signal line reaches below 30, comes back up and that drops back to 30 to a new higher low. Though this isn't true every time this happens. The Wall Street Courier talks about the use of 4 types of indicators designed for each to confirm each other; Trend, Breadth, Contrarian, and Osicillators that I found useful. I guess most of the 100's of commonly available indicators fall roughly into these 4 categories. A question to Barry, "Have you ever looked into the use of quadruple stacked redundant indicators; and by that I mean using 4 RSI's stacked each with a different time configuration (ex; 7 day, 14 day, 28 day, and 56 day)? On an intraday on swing trading time frame, I sometimes use an On Balance Volume, Price Volume Trend; and then a shorter inverval Money Flow Index in an attempt to "Lead" the OBV and PVT.
These Top Dog Trading tutorials are very informative, and are appreciated - thanks -
Very useful series of videos as I am an RSI fan. Does MFI work on all charts ie. Fx, futures & commodities ?
-
Helpful use of indicators. Thanks Barry!
-
Useful video, Dr. B - so thanks! Looking forward to testing this indicator.
-
Barry, Is it useful to use RSI and MFI together or prefer MFI as a superior version of RSI?
-
Nice 3 video explanation Dr. Barry. Thank you.
-
hi barry...great video...could you also post a video on gold...some say it's going back to 650... considering pending us economic collapse....so major players can buy it at its lowest
-
Would this work on an intraday chart? And I am confused because I thought you used the stochastics divergence on the rubber band trade? So it also works with the MFI? And I like the trend line break on the indicator idea. Confirming it with price is a good idea.

Hi Guilherme
I asked this same question if Barry a few weeks ago,in another context. He clarified that although volume does not tell the full story due to the presence of dark pools, it is STILL additional useful info, so I suppose in this case he would day that the MFI still sheds more light than the RSI. -
I c setting 14 anything else about money flow settings that we need to try it? and does it measure money flow like money coming in.
