There are a few different approaches to installing MT5 or MetaTrader 5 under Mac OS X. However the simplest approach to the installation is to use Play on Mac. Play on Mac simplifies the installation and management of X11 or XQuartz, Wine and the Microsoft Fonts. Play on Mac also automatically creates the shortcuts for you. Steps to Install MT5 or MetaTrader 5 on Mac OS X 1.) Download Play on Mac. http://www.playonmac.com/en/download.html 2.) Install Play on Mac. 3.) Install MetaTrader 5. http://www.metatrader5.com/en/download 4.) Set shortcuts for Terminal and MetaEditor.

Once I download MT4 or 5, can I run my Forex platform? Forex have a log-in version, not the download. It's almost impossible to use. What are the difference between 4 & 5?

Hi - My play on mac did not run me through a setup wizard, so stuck at that point, any ideas ? do i download xquartz separately? how do i then integrate it with play on mac? thanks
