One of the key parts of analysis that I’m looking to understand in a market like this is historical structures where traders have been trading them. So, in a down move, you look for levels of support that then breach and then becomes resistance. Levels of support, then breach and become resistance. And then what we want to do is notice price action that seems to be confirming the move, which I refer to as entry cheese, which is the price action this area here. As price touches that prior level of support, becomes resistance and sells off. However, as you can see, starting to fail, so this is what I refer to as a structure failure trap, because the structure, if it was perfect as in this example, would’ve followed through and it did look as if it was going to follow through, but it’s fallen short. It’s now starting to head up and potentially beyond that area trapping more and more traders in those short positions because they believe that the trend was their friend and that it was going to follow through long enough for them to make money. So, if price does breach above this level and then pulls back, this looks like a pretty good place to get long, but I just thought I’d explain how it looks in real time, so you can start to get a deeper sense of what it is that we try to do as trap trading protagonists. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=vHNYPz23d-0 Disclaimer: This video is for general information only and is not intended to provide trading or investment advice or personal recommendations.
