re-think the word HEDGE ( to offset your risk ) what you are doing there is just LOCKING your pips. Follow your trade... SELL -EUR+JPY is your first trade. With your BUY +EUR-JPY squares your position... there is No Hedge at all.

Yes, it works well. Me personally, if I am in negative I neutralize the losses, with a reverse order. Then, gradually I am going to expose myself more, always on the trendline, until I recovered the position. .
