Hey Steve, great video, quick question, I was reading "Harmonic Trading" by Scott Carney. In it, when it talks about the bat pattern, he mentions that the D point must be at least at the 1.618 projection from the BC leg. What do you make of this? It's just that, say you find an example where the D point does indeed come at 0.886 XA retracement but doesn't reach the 1.618 BC, would you consider that as a valid bat pattern?

hi, if you have a gartley starting with B leg that closed at more than 618, but the C leg does not go above 618, and closes between 382 and 50 similar with a bat pattern developing and the D leg touched corectly at 786....is this a valid patern formation?
-
How do you do backtesting?
-
identifying gartley, cypher, bat is so confusing. haha. i guess it just takes practice for my eyes to know whats what.

Greetings Mr. Hart! Your videos are lucid and very helpful. Now a question about the bat pattern. Must it always be the case where the D-leg has to be at the 88.6 level?
