-
I love this song it is so Beautiful I have been a fan for many years
-
Great one!!1 Thanks!!!
-
It's interesting that Mac Davis is was a very good singer in his own right, but Glen just knocks this Davis song way out of the park.
-
It's late 1968 and Mac Davis throws three new songs on Elvis Presley's coffee table, "In the Ghetto", "Daddy don't Cry" and
"Memories"Elvis records them and they become major hits, reigniting the King's singing career. By the later part of 1969 Presley calls Davis and says "Mac, you're a song painter". That's how Mac's label and this song came to be . -
I wonder how he would react to hearing this one now? Try it Kim.

My Norwood album was stolen from me. I wish I had a silver dollar for every time I sat next to my mama's Magnavox furniture style stereo listening to this one! Aaaaaaaaaaah

Still have the LP of the movie soundtrack. I agree, it's not the greatest movie ever made but it sure had some beautiful music. Glen was at his best. This is my wife's and mysong. We've been going through it together for 38 years and still counting. Wouldn'thave missed it for the world. Thanks for posting this. Brings back some great memories.
-
The shorter version is better commercially-the longer version works ONLY for the bus scene-I liked the shorter version from the outset. Thanks for this memory!
-
I saw Norwood at a drive in with my parents. A bad movie with the most beautiful soundtrack.

Shameful that this isn't on his "Greatest Hits!" It's an insult and travesty that such a well penned, sung and emotional song is kept from consumers. Please put this out on a CD-watch the sales go up! I was a kid when I heard this. It brings back many memories, when songs were artistic, as is manifested in the orchestra, violins, harmonies and singing. We used to say "Bravo!" I say it again-"Bravo Glen!"

This song rips my heart out. I will always love Glen Campbell and this is such a beautiful song with so many memories attached to it for me. He has the most beautiful singing voice. Thank you for posting this complete version. The line about the puppy dog with the pink tongue and big loving eyes kills me every time.

Incredible...I had all these albums as a teen, and what a difference 40 years makes to your perspective. One thing remains, and that is the quality of the music, the vocal clarity, and pure talent. May he have golden days and purple nights.
-
Crying as I listen to this precious treasure's voice; what an incredibly beautiful song, didn't realize Glen had so many beautiful songs, listening now, though
-
I still get weak in the knees when I hear him sing this song. Love this man!
-
I am a great fan of Glen Campbell. His song 'I will paint you a song ' is most favorite.

Do not worry over lost time make the most of the time now tell her all you would want her to know should she be gone with life being so fragile..We lost our beautifull girl just over 4 years ago and if tears could bring her back she would be beside ua like it once was...Mum Dad
-
How difficult to hear this song after so long , our beautifull daughter has been gone for just approaching five years now and the tears we cry could fill an ocean such a gentle heart such a caring soul now all we have are pictures and a desparate longing..Sleep gently our beautifull wee lass..Mum Dad

This song rips me up every time I hear it. So beautiful. So many memories both painful and good. So many people gone from my life that I so loved. And this sung by my most favorite singer and entertainer also to be taken away. I wish I could put my feelings into words.
